Derbyshire Library Our relationship with this organisation began in 2000 when they tendered for the delivery of the whole of their NOF Training Programme. We were fortunate enough to win this bid in November 2000; we will have completed the programme by March 2004.

Firstly, we were asked to arrange and to deliver ECDL training and testing. Our challenge was to develop both instructor led and CBT courses. We have now completed all but the last roll out of training and the testing has commenced showing a pass rate of around 92%.

The Other Expected Outcomes courses combine IT and soft skills. They are also deliverable in CBT and instructor led formats. We have completed development of the advanced outcomes that are based on knowledge management and high specification technical courses. They combine high level IT knowledge and understanding with organisation development.We began the delivery of the first of these in February 2002.

Derbyshire Library is using MORAQ as a pre-testing programme to check the delegates have absorbed the knowledge they need in order to begin their testing. In order that training can continue after the life of the project, we are training internal trainers and invigilators. These people are supporting the process and will be delivering some of the training.
