National Grid Transco The Contract with Transco is for general IT training on a call off basis it therefore has no contract value. The contract began in July 2002 and will end in July 2004. There is an option to extend the contract for one year. The Hemingway Corporation has been Transco's IT Training Provider for nearly two years. We have developed customised manuals that include exercises specific to work undertaken within Transco and completely reflect their IT systems.

The Hemingway Corporation markets itself within Transco; we alert managers to any training opportunities and spaces on courses. We have delivered training through Scotland and England, dealing with courses out with the contract such as Business Objects and Key Skills Level One. We are able to deliver courses anywhere within the UK.

As the provider we work with their local training managers or business managers to plan training for a specific team or business area. We then issue joining instructions with maps and course outlines, keep records of achievements, and collate and summarise feedback. Each delegate receives a certificate on the day of the training programme. At the end of each month we send a detailed management information report in Transco's format and copies of completed registers to a central point of contact.

We meet regularly with representatives for contract review meetings and general project meetings. This has been done face to face and using our video conferencing system.
