Synopsis of Regeneration Project Traditionally
small retailers have been excluded from Training and Development initiatives
but this sector is an integral part of the national economy and they do need
help. |
|
At the moment High Street regeneration projects are usually cosmetic; improved shop fronts, fancy pavements, large plant containers and so forth. While this is important so are the shopkeepers. The small retailer today is struggling with a variety of difficulties. Competition is fierce and retailers work long hours, have difficulties with staff and often lack the business skills necessary to survive let alone be successful.
In response to this need The Hemingway Corporation has developed, and successfully delivered a Business Regeneration Project.
The Hemingway Corporation takes a three phased approach to regenerate the business skills of the shop owner/managers. More can be seen on the page dedicated to retail therap (case study 1).
